What is out there and what to choose?

The question haunts first time digital camera buyers.

As the new compact digital cameras are so very good today, I feel that most folks could be well served with such a camera.

If you are the person looking for a great snapshot camera the manufactures have heard your call.

The compact digital cameras of today offer features and capabilities not seen in pro-grade cameras from just a few years back.

So for most of the human race, purchase a good digital compact camera and never look back!

The "bridge" or "super zoom" cameras now own a very "gray" area in the available camera sector. Many feature the manual controls and feel of a DSLR (digital single lens reflex) but lack the compactness of the compacts and the image quality of the DSLR.

It may sound like I have named this "breed" neither "fish nor fowl", but this is not the case.

I am very found of this type of camera and feel that most entry level DSLR buyers would be better served by a camera of this type.

The final option is the DSLR.
Now you have the opportunity to shoot like the "big guys", but it will cost you!

The latest DSLR's are fabulous photographic tools. The available lenses and accessories are astounding. If you want to take your photography to the next level, this is the way to go.

Today's market includes DSLR's ranging from the entry level models to cameras only a professional could afford. There is no doubt to the quality of image that a good DSLR is able to produce.

So I guess it is now time to start shopping!
